Following last month's launch of the MiTE CBRN protection garment into Europe, Lion Apparel is continuing its drive to provide comprehensive CBRN protection to the region by launching an Extended Response Suit ( ERS ).
This rapid response garment is easily stored in a vehicle to facilitate the most immediate deployment possible and can be worn for an extended period, effectively meeting the uncertain and prolonged operational needs of an incident's 'warm zone' by providing lightweight easy-on multiple hazard protection.
NFPA 1994 Class 3 certified with a MSA Millenium respirator, the ERS is a lightweight one piece coverall with integral booties and gloves. The WL GOREtm ChempakĀ® Selectively Permeable Fabric is liquid proof and air impermeable, blocking many harmful warfare agents and toxic chemicals. However the fabric is also moisture vapour breathable, allowing for heat exchange, decreasing physiological stress and enabling longer mission time.
Donned in under four minutes, the ERS can be permanently stored in a vehicle and has a shelf life of 10 years. It can be washed and worn up to 5 times. The fixed glove system allows users to choose their external gloves for improved dexterity in specific tasks.
Suitable for many operational requirements, external WL Gore gloves are supplied.
Designed to combine the benefits of fast deployment with extended wear time, the ERS from Lion Apparel offers significant CBRN protection benefits to the police, bomb disposal, search and rescue and special forces, enhancing their capability to quickly control the warm zone and then manage it for extended periods.
